Steinhauer

The neighbourhood is named for Henry Bird Steinhauer, a missionary who settled in Alberta during the mid-1800s (and from whom the family of the former Lieutenant Governor takes its name). Steinhauer is a newer suburban area developed during the 1970s, where single homes surround a cluster of row housing complexes. Residents enjoy proximity to Heritage and Southgate shopping centres. A large landscaped utility transmission corridor to the south bolsters Steinhauer's inventory of usable recreation space.
